Added z2se 0.90, an editor for Zelda II (NES)
SRAM games. Just like hack4u and ffse, it can edit SRAM files, but for
Zelda II. Also like hack4u and ffse, it will work with any NES emulator.
This is the 1.0 release candidate version 0.90.

Added ffse 0.90, an editor for Final Fantasy (NES)
SRAM games. Just like hack4u, it can edit SRAM files, but for Final
Fantasy 1. Also like hack4u, it will work with any NES emulator. This
is the 1.0 release candidate version 0.90.
-
Updated hack4u to version 0.92. It fixes a
couple bugs in the problem, and rearranges the GUI to fit on an
800x600 screen in GTK.

Added document describing SRAM
hacking for Ultima: Quest of the Avatar. This is basically a document
with all the information I compiled while working on
hack4u. I haven't found every offset meaning, but
there is a lot of good information in there for anyone curious.
-
Updated hack4u to version 0.91. There are no
actual program changes. Just some extra documentation, code cleanup,
and the code is commented now.

Updated hack4u to version 0.90. There are
many changes and this version represents the culmination of what I set
out to create in the program (or at least have settled on as time went
by). It's not got every minute feature I thought about, but it has
everything I thought it absolutely needed for a 1.0 release. I use the
GNU version scheme though, so 0.9 = less tested 1.0, or a 1.0 beta or
release candidate if you will. Contact me if you
find any problems with it.

Updated hack4u to version 0.82. There is now a
Linux binary compiled against GTK+ 2.0 and it fixed a bug where it
crashed in Linux. I also changed the window to be resizable since it
needs more space under GTK+ than it does under Windows.

Added hack4u 0.81, a save state editor for
Ultima: Quest of the Avatar (NES). It lets you edit nearly all the
values in the save state (SRAM *.sav files) and works on any NES
emulator. It's not quite complete, but it's close enough for public
use I think. Send me some feedback if you try
it out.

Updated the Java GGEncoder to version
1.1. The version fixes a bug in the NES game genie encoder which caused
invalid codes to be generated. The codes will not work on a real game
genie, but they should work on any emulator.
-
Added Crystalis (NES) game genie
codes.
-
Added Castlevania II: Simon's
Quest (NES) game genie codes.

Updated the Java CHTDecoder to version
2.1. The version fixes DragNDrop support on Linux and adds a code
number to each code in the GUI version, much like the other language
versions. Most importantly, it adds validity checking for .CHT files in
case you accidentally select the wrong file.

Updated wxCHTDecoder to version 1.5. This
includes various bug fixes and feature improvements. I have also added
binaries for Mac OS-X (it might work on OS 9, but I have no way to
test that) and Linux GTK 1.2. I don't really know how portable the Linux
binary will be though, as you will have to have GTK 1.2 installed and
a similar version of glibc to mine. If it doesn't work, you can still
compile the source. The binaries are all statically linked to wxWidgets
and upx-compressed, which means smaller programs than ever before.
-
I added Solaris GTK 1.2 binaries for the
wxCHTDecoder program. They are probably
no more portable than the Linux binaries, but I was testing wxWidgets
on Solaris, and decided to post my results.

Updated wxCHTDecoder to version 1.4. This
fixes a bug in the program. I don't think it caused any major problems,
but it was a mem leak, and it might crash the program on some systems,
though the latter seems unlikely.
