The purpose of this site is simple. I thought about all the save state archives at places like Zophar's Domain. They are very nice, but they are limited in a way. They only save the end part of the game. Sometimes this includes the end fight, or the last hit, or the last scene. But that is all. I wanted to create a series of save states for games that would allow you to play from nearly any point in the game. To accomplish this, someone must play through the game and make several states. In addition, if the game supports sram, the save can be extended to any emulator, rather than tied to a single one. However, at emuWorks, we try to use emulators that work on a wide variety of operating systems and platforms.
The first game to be added to this site is the NES classic Dragon Warrior. It's not a hard game, and there isn't a lot to it, but it's the first in a series and I think it still has some replay value.
